Herrod Motorsport has been working with YELLA TERRA in the development of the Whipple Supercharger package for the BA, BF & FG Ford V8 Boss engine owners.
The Stealth super charger unit mounts in the valley area between the cylinder heads. The kit utilizes the factory intake plenum cover that mounts back on top of the super charger.
In testing, this Supercharger package has been fitted on a completely stock BA XR8 Falcon, running 6psi boost and was tuned to a conservative 280, so as to retain engine & driveline reliability under normal driving conditions. From there the vehicle was then sent off to be tested, and passed all the ADR requirements for this vehicle.
The base kit will be able to be tuned to over 300rwkw, with the fitment of a good exhaust system, hi-flow air box & hi flow air filter, etc.
There is also an intercooler kit available as an option. The intercooler kit utilizes a water to air radiator with a heat exchanger unit mounted inside the supercharger intake manifold. By utilizing the intercooler up grade, it provides the vehicle with a more stable tune, while retaining the ultimate in engine performance.
